Zoe Goldemberg
This is a 3-d printed shoe which I created using a bio-degradable PLA plastic filament. Taking inspiration from Florida nature, such as strangler fig trees, I aimed to create a prototype avant garde shoe adaptation. This piece went on to receive a regional gold key, and then a national gold medal and best-in-grade $500 scholarship award from Scholastics Art and Writing Awards. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to NYC and receive the accolade on the Carnegie Hall stage, as well as have my shoe displayed in Parsons Gallery, and later a two year gallery tour around the United States.
